Human Resources is a highly demanded department, and lots of things happen. Waves come and go and it's important to keep track of all the activities related to standard processes to make sure everything works correctly. Processes like training, recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and so on.
Fortunately, there's a feature within Dynamics 365 Human Resources that we can use to make sure we make the best out of these processes. If you know Task Management it works pretty much the same but it's designed for Human Resources processes. Is good to bear in mind that point, to avoid duplicating tasks, activities, and lists. For processes that involve other people that are not in HR, you use the Task Management module. If you want to know a bit more about it, find all the information here: Onboard, Crossboard and Offboard made easy! (anainesurrutia.com). For all processes involving only the Human Resources department, we will use Business Processes, and this is why this article was made.
As you can see in the screen below when we create a Business Process template, we are able to add tasks and dates when they need to be completed.
Once the process is started, all the tasks will be assigned to the owners and they will need to perform them before they are due. Tasks can be as specific or not as the business process template creator wants, but because we are team players we need to add as much information as possible, providing links and all the data needed to make sure everyone is doing a nice job.
As you can see below, I already started the process and the tasks have been assigned to the corresponding people. Some of them are overdue, and some are ready to be executed:
This is one of the many Dynamics 365 Human Resources features that helps Human Resources to work better. This is a simple article but as a D365 HR advocate, my mission is to spread the word about the solution I'm in love with, and some people out there may now know what functionalities can cover.
